Symptom narrative

pt awoke from nap with a strange cry and fussiness. mom picked her up as she was crying and fussy. She spit up but not unusual for her because she has mild reflux. cried during the entire episode. was alert the entire episode. was not making eye contact with parents. pt then vomited in the middle of the episode. Mom passed pt over to Dad and Dad noted that pt was limp. Head fell back and arms fell down, were floppy. decreased tone. called 911. By the time paramedics arrived pt was fine. lasted appx 10-15 minutes total. no stiffness. no jerky movement. When paramedics arrived she had a temp of 100.5. Went to the ER and was fine in the ER. Temp in ER 100.5. responded well to antipyretics. Sent home in stable condition. Pt was her normal self. Appears to have been a hypotonic hyporesponsive episode
