Symptom narrative

Patient received multiple vaccinations during this visit and she developed itchy hives on her right leg, fingers, forearms, and under chin after she left the clinic and got home. She did not seek medical treatment but in 2-3 days following the exanthem it worsened and then she took Benadryl for relief which was effective. No anaphylactoid/anaphylactic reaction. No other adverse reactions reported. Patient had not previously received immunizations in her life. Patient came back to clinic for treatment of unrelated seasonal allergies and incidentally mentioned the vaccine reaction.
