Symptom narrative

shingles outbreak in three different spots; nauseated; lost fifteen pounds; allergic reaction; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of shingles in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. The patient's past medical history included shingles. Family history included polio. On an unknown date, the patient received Shingrix. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced shingles (Verbatim: shingles outbreak in three different spots), nausea (Verbatim: nauseated), weight loss (Verbatim: lost fifteen pounds) and allergic reaction (Verbatim: allergic reaction). The patient was treated with lidocaine. The outcome of the shingles, nausea, weight loss and allergic reaction were not reported. It was unknown if the reporter considered the shingles, nausea, weight loss and allergic reaction to be related to Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the shingles, nausea, weight loss and allergic reaction to be related to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 20-NOV-2025 This case was reported by a patient via interactive digital media. The follow-up could not be possible as no contact details were available. Patient reported that he/she got the Shingrix vaccine and within a few days started having shingles outbreaks again, in three different spots which were itching and hurting. Patient went to urgent care after a week or week and a half. Patient was so nauseated and lost fifteen pounds. Patient had labs drawn which showed mast cells which are indicative of an allergic reaction. Patient was miserable since September and want to feel well again. The batch number was not provided, and we are unable to contact the reporter.
