Symptom narrative

Immediately following vaccination, patient complained of sudden onset nausea, itching and stiffness on left arm. Patient was asked to wait for observation. Patient denied shortness of breath, swelling, wheezing or dizziness. After 5 minutes, patient confirmed that nausea had abated. Transient pruritus was still present, reporting itching on forearm and tip of nose. Patient confirmed stiffness in left ar. Pharmacist waited 10 minutes and check on patient again. Patient reported return of nausea and new onset dizziness with transient itching. Patient stated that stiffness in arm had abated. Patient again denied shortness of breath, swelling, thirst or wheezing. Pharmacist called EMS and EMS responded within approximately 10 minutes. EMS evaluated patient, stating that patient may be experiencing a mild allergic reaction or anxiety. EMS gave the patient the option to be transported, but stated that at this time, symptoms were not life threatening. Patient was also given a choice to continue waiting/observing and if symptoms worsened to call EMS again. Patient refused transport and waiting in waiting room for approximately 15 minutes and left after stating , "I feel better now."
