Symptom narrative

On October 30th, patient started complaining of a headache. She was given ibuprofen and it helps. On October 31st, she woke up with a severe headache and could not bend over/stand up or change position without severe pain. She had pain with eye movements and had a low grade fever of 100.6. Ibuprofen/tylenol was given without relief. She complained that her "hands and feet were tingly and felt strange." She was taken back to the pediatric clinic and examined by an NP and MD. We were told it was most likely a reaction to the meningococcal vaccine. The headache and pain improved about 2 hours after med admin. About 8 hours later, the headache and pain returned. Tylenol and Ibuprofen were given again and symptoms improved.
