Symptom narrative

Just crummy/not feeling well/really sick; Body pain and was just crummy; Really sick with flu-like symptoms; Arthralgia/didn't have the COVID arm but had the joint pain; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of MALAISE (Just crummy/not feeling well/really sick), PAIN (Body pain and was just crummy), INFLUENZA LIKE ILLNESS (Really sick with flu-like symptoms) and ARTHRALGIA (Arthralgia/didn't have the COVID arm but had the joint pain) in a 77-year-old male patient who received SPIKEVAX NOS (SPIKEVAX NOS) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included non-company products RSV vaccine for an unknown indication and Influenza vaccine inact split 3v (Fluzone high dose) for an unknown indication. Concurrent medical conditions included Rheumatoid arthritis (Milder) and Immunocompromised. In 2025, the patient received dose of Influenza vaccine inact split 3v (Fluzone high dose) (unknown route) 1 dosage form. On an unknown date, the patient received dose of SPIKEVAX NOS (SPIKEVAX NOS) (unknown route) 1 dosage form On an unknown date, received dose of SPIKEVAX NOS (SPIKEVAX NOS) (unknown route) dosage was changed to 1 dosage form. and dose of RSV vaccine (unknown route) 1 dosage form. On an unknown date, the patient experienced MALAISE (Just crummy/not feeling well/really sick), PAIN (Body pain and was just crummy), INFLUENZA LIKE ILLNESS (Really sick with flu-like symptoms) and ARTHRALGIA (Arthralgia/didn't have the COVID arm but had the joint pain). At the time of the report, MALAISE (Just crummy/not feeling well/really sick) and PAIN (Body pain and was just crummy) outcome was unknown and INFLUENZA LIKE ILLNESS (Really sick with flu-like symptoms) and ARTHRALGIA (Arthralgia/didn't have the COVID arm but had the joint pain) had resolved. Concomitant medication use information was not provided by reporter. The suspect product date of administration was reported as 2020 or 2022. The COVID vaccine was administered in two doses each time. The reporter called to ask about mNEXSPIKE for the 2025-2026 season, specifically if the patient would be best suited to receive the said vaccine. The patient had received every single dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine since its initial circulation back in 2020. The patient's age was over 65 years. The reporter inquired about the timing and efficacy of the second booster for the 2024/2025 season, and the patient needed to have the second booster for 2024, means in 2024 or 2025. The reporter thought it was either August or September and did not know what the waiting period was and what the coverage of that immunization was in terms of efficacy. The reporter was not sure if it was Spikevax that the patient had received for the first two shots. The reporter asked if the patient could get the flu shot and mNEXSPIKE at the same time in different arms because the patient was behind on his flu shot due to not feeling well on the scheduled day. The reporter asked because they did not know whether getting the two shots would make the patient sicker or if he would just have to be sick for both of them anyway. The reporter then added that they did not exactly remember, but it had been a bunch and was at least, probably at least half a dozen or more, then confirmed that all immunizations against COVID-19 were Moderna. The reporter also stated that the patient had the RSV vaccine, which was Arexvy, probably in August or September. The patient also had a flu shot recently, which was the Fluzone high dose. The reporter could not remember when the Fluzone was administered but stated it was around 3 to 4 months ago. The patient was really sick with flu-like symptoms and arthralgia, but it was unknown if they had a fever because their body temperature was not monitored. The symptoms lasted about three days, which was a normal side effect. The patient had completed all the recommended immunization courses and received the extra booster. The patient got lots of mRNA crawling. The patient did not have the COVID arm but experienced joint pain, body pain, and was just crummy. The patient did not experience any additional symptoms/events. Treatment medication use information was not provided by reporter.
