An 80-year-old female patient (not pregnant) received BNT162b2 omicron (lp.8.1) (COMIRNATY (2025-2026 FORMULA)), on 12Nov2025 at 14:30 as dose 1, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) at the age of 80 years, in left arm for covid-19 immunisation; influenza vaccine inact split 3v (FLUZONE HIGH DOSE), on 12Nov2025 as dose 1, single, in right arm for immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history included: "CKD" (unspecified if ongoing), notes: no treatment required; "Hiatal Hernia" (unspecified if ongoing), notes: no treatment at this time. The patient's concomitant medications were not reported. The following information was reported: JOINT RANGE OF MOTION DECREASED (non-serious) with onset 14Nov2025 at 08:00, outcome "not recovered", described as "Difficult to turn head either direction; painful to hold head upright/back"; MUSCLE STRAIN (non-serious) with onset 14Nov2025 at 08:00, outcome "not recovered", described as "I hold head with both hands when getting out of bed to relieve neck strain."; NECK PAIN (non-serious) with onset 14Nov2025 at 08:00, outcome "not recovered", described as "moderate to severe back of neck pain". Therapeutic measures were not taken as a result of neck pain, joint range of motion decreased, muscle strain. Additional information: No known allergies. The patient did not receive any other vaccines within 4 weeks prior to the vaccine(s) for which she was reporting. The patient did not take any other medications within 2 weeks of the event starting. Received vaccine on Wednesday, on Friday started experiencing moderate to severe back of neck pain. Today, day 7 and there was no improvement. Difficult to turn head either direction, painful to hold head upright/back. She hold head with both hands when getting out of bed to relieve neck strain. Comirnaty vaccine given on upper left arm. On 12Nov2025, patient received another vaccine Fluzone HD 65 + 0.5 ml I 2025-26. The information on the batch/lot number for BNT162b2 omicron (lp.8.1) will be requested and submitted if and when received.
