Sharp, shooting, weakness pain in right arm for 45 minutes post-immunization. Pain s hoots down into forearm and into armpit. Patient treated with prednisone burst, ibuprofen, Tylenol with no relief. Patient is still having pain on 11/28/2025. Patient receives flu shot yearly and has never had a reaction before this year. Seen in urgent care on 11/18 with following medical decision-making note: Medical Decision Making: Patient is a 51-year-old female. Patient is alert, oriented has no signs acute distress. Vital signs are stable. Patient had some tenderness of the right deltoid. There was no swelling, erythema, warmth, or signs of infection. Good range motion of the right shoulder and elbow. Plus two right radial pulse. Good grip strength with normal sensation brisk cap refill distally. Discussed with the patient my concerns for her pain in his likely due to some ear pain. Patient was prescribed a prednisone taper. Encouraged close follow-up PCP. Educated on care when return back to the urgent care/emergency department. Patient agreed with the plan and verbalized understanding of instructions. Questions were answered. Patient was discharged in stable condition.

Sulfa antibiotics
Reflexes/strength check on arm/hand.
