Within 5 seconds of receiving the vaccine patient's upper body twitched a little and he began to slouch in his chair. Dad caught him and the technician shouted out for me. I ran over immediately and helped lower patient carefully to the floor. I raised his legs. I asked him his name and patient answered correctly right away. I asked him if he knew where he was and, again, answered right away. Pulse was normal and his skin color was good. He laid there for another 2-3 minutes as we chatted with him then said he was ok to stand. Dad and I helped him up and Dad made sure he was steady on his feet. Patient smiled and said he felt fine but would hold onto Dad to be sure. I called the house the next day to see how patient was doing and mom said he was doing well.
