Symptom narrative

Patient called the pharmacy stating she got sick from her vaccine last week. She got Prevnar 20 on 11/25/25. After speaking with her, she stated she was very achy, and her bones hurt on thursday after vaccine (11/27/25). The day after she felt better and took ibuprofen and iced the area of the vaccine. On Saturday (11/29) she had a rash in the area of the injection site. She denies fever and denies the rash spreading or getting worse. Pharmacist recommended that she try benadryl for the rash if it is an allergic reaction type. She did note she feels better today and has a call out to her provider about the rash. Pharmacist told her she could come in for us to look at the rash and see if it looked more like a vaccine reaction or a skin infection. Patient said she will wait for her provider to get back to her.
