An elderly female patient (not pregnant) received BNT162b2 (BNT162B2), in 2021 as dose 1, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. The patient reported experiencing new-onset hearing loss of neurological origin on an unspecified date shortly after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine approximately four years ago. The patient is a professionally trained musician with previously documented "perfect pitch". Following the hearing loss, which was nearly complete, the patient now requires hearing aids and is unable to detect instrumental pitch. The patient underwent extensive evaluations by a neurologist (name unknown) to assess the reaction. The patient is not aware whether the event was reported by the treating physician. The treating physician's details were withheld; however, the patient mentioned consulting an audiologist in the United States. The patient stated that her quality of life has been significantly diminished, and she experienced severe depression as a result of the hearing loss. Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of deafness neurosensory, amusia. Outcome of the events was not recovered. The events were considered serious due to the events resulted in disability.
