A 67-year-old male patient received pneumococcal 20-val conj vac (dipht CRM197 protein) (PREVNAR 20), on 24Oct2025 at 12:00 as dose number unknown, single (Lot number: MA2488) at the age of 67 years, in left arm for immunisation; influenza vaccine inact split 3v (FLUZONE HIGH DOSE), on 24Oct2025 as dose number unknown, single, in left arm for immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history included: "Penicillin allergy" (unspecified if ongoing). Concomitant medication(s) included: TAMSULOSIN; PANTOPRAZOLE; VITAMIN B12 [CYANOCOBALAMIN]; VITAMIN C [ASCORBIC ACID]. The following information was reported: ARTHRALGIA (non-serious) with onset 24Oct2025, outcome "not recovered", described as "my shoulder hurt for days/sore shoulder for just under a week after the injection"; VACCINATION SITE PAIN (non-serious) with onset 24Oct2025, outcome "not recovered", described as "pain came back. same area as before at the site of the injection". The events "my shoulder hurt for days/sore shoulder for just under a week after the injection" and "pain came back. same area as before at the site of the injection" required physician office visit. Therapeutic measures were not taken as a result of arthralgia, vaccination site pain. Additional information: The patient had a dose of Prevnar 20 on 24Oct2025. Worst experience he has had with immunization. His shoulder hurt for days. His doctor said to wait it out. The patient did and in about a week it went away. Four days ago, on 16Nov2025, the pain came back. Same area as before at the site of the injection. No redness nor swelling. His doctor said to stop doing any exercises that involve that shoulder and let it heal. Patient never had such an experience and hope that it does heal. Other concomitant medication included joint supplement.
