Symptom narrative

The Pharmacy administered the wrong vaccine to me. I?m currently going through cancer treatments and getting two different immunotherapies for stage 4 kidney cancer. I was advised by my oncologist to get an mRNA vaccine. There have been recently published studies that show cancer patients who receive a mRNA vaccine within first 90 days of treatment increase their survival rates by 3 times. I started immunotherapy treatments on 10/17/25. I made an appointment at a local pharmacy store to receive the Moderna (Spikevax) vaccine on 11/21/2025. This is a mRNA vaccine. When I got to the pharmacy, there is a sign in the front to scan the QR code to check in to receive your vaccine. I did this and it said I was checked in and to wait in the waiting area until my name was called. Once my name was called, I was brought back into a room. I was being helped by a woman. Before they gave me the vaccine, I asked her specifically if this was the Moderna vaccine. She confirmed that it was. I was never shown the actual vaccine before it was administered. After I was administered the vaccine, I was given the prescription information for the vaccine and was told I could leave. This is where I noticed the drug I was given was Nuvaxovid which is made by Novavax. This isn?t what I had ordered or authorized. I asked the consulting pharmacist, before I left if this was the Moderna mRNA vaccine. I specifically pointed to the prescription information they gave to me. She said it was the Moderna mRNA vaccine. I did a google search when I got to my car that showed that these are two different drugs. The one that I received is a non-mRNA, protein based vaccine. I did not authorize this and it?s not what I ordered. I then called the pharmacy and spoke to employee who now admits that they gave me the wrong vaccine. She told me she was personally going to look into that matter for me and submit a report. I was advised by her that I shouldn?t get a mRNA vaccine after I received the incorrect one. This means that I can no longer receive the vaccine within the first 90 days of treatment that was supposed to increase my chances of surviving the cancer that I have. My appointment confirmation shows that I ordered and authorized the Moderna Spikevax vaccine. The prescription information that I was given and my prescription history on the store app shows I was given something else and non mRNA based.
