The morning after the shot I felt soreness as expected. The following day the soreness turned into heaviness and seemed to going down my arm. The third day the heavy sensation went down my entire arm and I had some twitching of my left thumb that came and went over a few hours. The fourth day I had no more twitching but the heaviness continued for a few more days but then receded back to soreness. I kept expecting that the soreness would go away, but over the past 2 1/2 months the soreness has continued, sometimes changing to a burning sensation from my shoulder to my elbow. Nothing I have tried improves the burning/soreness for more than a few minutes--pain scale is 2 to 4 out of 10. This seems like "permanent damage" so I'm marking that below, though I still hope it will get better.
