A few days after the vaccine I developed a large red bump on one of my fingers that was extremely itchy. It went away and then I had another one come up, then I got several at one time on my arm, then on my legs, back of arm. This went on from March until about July/August. I saw a dermatologist 3 different times, was prescribed 3 or 4 different creams over that time which none of them helped, they finally did a biopsy of a couple of the spots, suspecting that it was bullous pemphigoid. The results were negative for that condition, so I was referred to an allergist who sent me back to the dermatologist. The results were a reaction to the vaccine I received in March but it couldn't be proven. I was given a medicine to take if it flared again and it has not re-occurred since that visit. During this same time, I also was experiencing arm pain (in the arm I received the injection) it hurt to put behind my back, lift my elbow and lift over my head - this condition is still present. My primary doctor referred me to an orthopedist, and I was given a choice of a steroid injection at the site of the pain or a prescription for Meloxicam - I chose the prescription. The diagnosis by the orthopedist was that it was due to the vaccine I had in March . I have not started taking the medication yet.
