positional vertigo; low potassium; This is a spontaneous report received from a Consumer or other non HCP. A 71-year-old female patient received BNT162b2 omicron (lp.8.1) (COMIRNATY (2025-2026 FORMULA)), on 03Nov2025 at 10:44 as dose 1, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) at the age of 71 years, in right arm for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history included: "Thyroid" (unspecified if ongoing); "Blood pressure" (unspecified if ongoing). Concomitant medication(s) included: LEVOTHYROXINE taken for thyroid disorder; CHLORTHALIDONE taken for blood pressure abnormal. Vaccination history included: Comirnaty (DOSE NUMBER UNKNOWN, SINGLE), administration date: 2020, for Covid-19 Immunization. The following information was reported: BLOOD POTASSIUM DECREASED (non-serious) with onset 17Nov2025, outcome "unknown", described as "low potassium"; VERTIGO POSITIONAL (non-serious) with onset 17Nov2025, outcome "not recovered", described as "positional vertigo". Relevant laboratory tests and procedures are available in the appropriate section. Therapeutic measures were not taken as a result of vertigo positional, blood potassium decreased. Additional information: Patient reported that, She had an adverse event vertigo from the Covid vaccine recently. She had her personal prescription information and it gave her the information. She did not have that vial. She was looking still on this, that they gave her, when she took the vaccine. She said it was Comirnaty 12-Covid 2025-2603mm ml' and there was a number under there. She didn't have that, they didn't give her the package, where she got the vaccine and that's all she told them. Date of vaccination: Consumer stated, 3Nov2025 10:44 am, It was her right arm. When probed for the treatment for vertigo: Consumer stated, No medication but she had to see her doctor. She reported that, She have taken it in the last since 2020, she have stayed with the Pfizer vaccine brands and not Moderna so, she felt like she would be okay to continue to take the Pfizer vaccine. Yes, she never had Covid. She didn't want to contact Covid so she had it since 2020. She was trying Pfizer whatever the vaccine was that year. She reported, She do take regular medications. Levothyroxine, it's a thyroid medication, generic. She did BMAT Panel test on 17Nov2025. The result was low potassium but she diagnosed her with positional vertigo. When probed if took any other vaccine on the same day: She reported No, she did not. After also reported. She took a blood pressure medication called Chlorthalidone 25 'mcg mg'. It's a half of tablet daily, that's the blood pressure medication generic. Yes, 25 mg but only take a half a tablet daily. She wanted to know how long would experienced this Vertigo because this is her third week. When paraphrased the above concern: she reported that she never had this before this was her first experience and she hope this might last but she needed to know how long patients in that study, how long they have it. The information on the batch/lot number for BNT162b2 omicron (lp.8.1) will be requested and submitted if and when received.
