Symptom narrative

Approximately 3 hours after the injection, patient developed significant left sided facial edema, resulting in his eyelids swelling shut. He was also found to be febrile to 102.1F. Given fevers in neonate, referred to ER for workup. Will list findings below, but basically just found to have fever and some elevated inflammatory markers. The edema resolved within 3-4 days, treated just with Tylenol for 2 days. He never had any significant findings at the injection site. He was also diagnosed with incarcerated inguinal hernia resulting in operative repair about a week after the incident.
