Symptom narrative

Atrial flutter; heart palpitations; This is a spontaneous report received from an Other HCP and a Consumer or other non HCP, Program ID. A 73-year-old male patient received BNT162b2 (BNT162B2), on 10Sep2021 as dose 1, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) at the age of 73 years intramuscular, in left arm for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. The events "atrial flutter" and "heart palpitations" required physician office visit. The reporter considered "atrial flutter" and "heart palpitations" not related to BNT162b2. Additional information: The patient was diagnosed with atrial flutter and heart palpitations after the administration of the Pfizer Covid vaccination. Primary care and specialists have not been able to rule out the vaccine as the root cause for the ongoing heart issues. This event was unrelated to the vaccine. The information on the batch/lot number for BNT162b2 will be requested and submitted if and when received.; Sender's Comments: Based on temporal association, there is reasonable possibility of causal association between the Reported events atrial flutter", "heart palpitations"and the suspect drug
