patient began by having a low grade fever. She went to urgent care and received a steroid and antibiotic. She continued to get worse and developed tingly toes, felt like her fingers were "3lbs each," pain down her back. She went back to urgent care where they said it was probably sciatica and she was prescribed cyclobenzaprine. She continued to get worse and went to the hospital. They agreed that it was sciatica and discharged the patient. She passed out in the bathtub and then she went to a neurologist who said to go back to the hospital where they did a spinal tap and found she had Guillain Barre syndrome. She was admitted and was given IV medication (she does not know what) and then was released several days later. She then went to both inpatient and then outpatient rehab. She says she still has tingly fingers and toes but PT has helped her.
