Symptom narrative

age-related diminishing mental capacity/ my short term memory starts to slip; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer via call center representative and described the occurrence of cognitive deterioration in a 82-year-old male patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. In 2018, the patient received the 1st dose of Shingrix and the 2nd dose of Shingrix. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingrix and Shingrix, the patient experienced cognitive deterioration (Verbatim: age-related diminishing mental capacity/ my short term memory starts to slip). The outcome of the cognitive deterioration was unknown. It was unknown if the reporter considered the cognitive deterioration to be related to Shingrix and Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the cognitive deterioration to be related to Shingrix and Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 05-DEC-2025 The patient reported that he was 82-year-old who had age-related diminishing mental capacity, it's not bad. The patient mentioned that he had received both doses of Shingrix in 2018. The reporter asked when he was diagnosed with this and patient response was, he had received a diagnosis. It was his own perception that his long-term memory was very good, but that short term memory starts to slip, standard stuff where you hear about folks go into a room and then they forget what they went in there for but it happen very often. It was not to the point that was concerned about it nor that have talked to a doctor about it. The patient wanted to do everything he can to prevent or slowdown that if it happens to him. The batch number was not provided, and we are unable to contact the reporter.
