Symptom narrative

11/19/25 influenza trivalent PF and HPV9-valent vaccines received (unknown facility-information not available in immunization registry), 11/22/25 developed viral gastroenteritis, 12/1/25 Reported loss of taste and "heart hurting," 12/4/25 Evaluated in ED for persistent symptoms; cardiac workup was normal except for elevated blood pressure, which mom reports has been noted since his November illness, 12/6/25 Developed calf pain, tingling in fingers and toes, and increasing difficulty with leg strength. He struggled to climb stairs at school and fell at the top (no trauma; did not hit his head or spine). Later the same day, he was unable to lift his legs high enough to step into the house, prompting reevaluation at urgent care. He was subsequently admitted to Hospital. Workup respiratory pathogen panel + for Human rhinovirus/enterovirus on 12/7/25 0315. 12/8/25 transferred to Medical Center for higher level of care (MRI of the entire neuraxis with and without contrast and lumbar puncture). 12/9/25 diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome by pediatric neurology, 12/9/25 IVIG treatment initiated (5 day treatment course)
