Patient received the vaccine on Friday 12/5. She reports that her arm was sore and swollen over the weekend, which was consistent with her experience with her first dose. On Monday 12/8, she observed that a fluid-filled blister with a raised, red boundary had arisen on her arm. The redness and inflammation reduced in area over the course of Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, she returned to the pharmacy to report the blister. Because the redness and inflammation have reduced in size over time, I advised the patient that I did not believe she needed to seek emergency care. I will follow up with the patient again on Friday 12/12 to assess the situation and make a referral from there if the condition has worsened.
