Injection site painInjection site swelling

Symptom narrative

Patient experienced injection site reaction (pain and swelling). Patient was advised to ice his arm and to continue to monitor. Patient visited an Urgent Clinic. There he was told that he was having an injection site reaction to the vaccine-swelling and pain, which were all part of the vaccination process. Patient was administered topical agent to help with swelling and provided a prescription of Tylenol if needed for pain. Patient was advised again by Urgent Care clinic to continue to monitor and ice the area
