I gave the wrong vaccine to the patient. I gave menveo instead of bexsero. I told the provider right away and the patient too. I went to get the right vaccine and administered it to him. I made sure I scanned his wristband before giving vaccine. What I learned was to always, always scanned wristbands first before anything else.
