Symptom narrative

Infant presented on November 21, 2021 with fever and progressive rash following influenza and RSV vaccination on November 17, 2021. One day post-vaccination (November 18, 2021), he developed periorbital and perioral rash that persisted for several days, then spread to involve the anterior and posterior torso and diaper area. Fever developed on November 19-20, 2021 with maximum temperature of 100.9°F, accompanied by increased fussiness and mildly decreased oral intake. The patient maintained adequate hydration with normal urine output throughout. No respiratory symptoms, gastrointestinal symptoms, or oral lesions were noted. By November 24, 2021, all symptoms had completely resolved. Father had potential minor URI symptoms within the week prior after going to a rock concert. He is otherwise undervaccinated
