Incomplete course of vaccination

Symptom narrative

Missed second dose of Shingrix vaccine; This non-serious case was reported by a pharmacist via call center representative and described the occurrence of incomplete course of vaccination in a male patient who did not receive Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. Previously administered products included Shingrix (received first dose on an unknown date approximately 7 years ago). The patient did not receive the 2nd dose of Shingrix. The patient experienced incomplete course of vaccination (Verbatim: Missed second dose of Shingrix vaccine). The outcome of the incomplete course of vaccination was not applicable. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 11-DEC-2025 A pharmacist mentioned that a patient only received the first dose of Shingrix approximately 7 years ago at their physician office. The pharmacist questioned if they should re-start the Shingrix series or administer the second dose. The batch number was not provided upon follow- up with the reporter.
