Symptom narrative

covid 19; being sick; no appetite; nausea; feeling tired; vomiting; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of COVID-19 (covid 19), MALAISE (being sick), DECREASED APPETITE (no appetite), NAUSEA (nausea) and FATIGUE (feeling tired) in an 84-year-old female patient who received mRNA-1273.712 (SPIKEVAX 2024-2025 PFS) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. The occurrence of additional non-serious events is detailed below. The suspect product included Pre-filled Syringe injection for COVID-19 prophylaxis. No Medical History information was reported. On 22-May-2025, the patient received dose of mRNA-1273.712 (SPIKEVAX 2024-2025 PFS) (Intramuscular use) .5 milliliter. On an unknown date, the patient started Pre-filled Syringe (unknown route) at an unspecified dose. In May 2025, the patient experienced COVID-19 (covid 19), MALAISE (being sick), DECREASED APPETITE (no appetite), NAUSEA (nausea), FATIGUE (feeling tired) and VOMITING (vomiting). In 2025, COVID-19 (covid 19), MALAISE (being sick), DECREASED APPETITE (no appetite), NAUSEA (nausea), FATIGUE (feeling tired) and VOMITING (vomiting) had resolved. Patient did not receive any other vaccines 4 weeks prior to Spikevax. No concomitant medication was reported. In May-2025, she had side effects or an adverse reaction, being sick afterwards. Patient experienced nausea, vomiting, no appetite, and feeling tired. Patient did not remember how soon after the vaccine the side effects started. Patient did not even know if they were side effects or if she had been exposed to COVID already and she had COVID, she did not check. Her side effects lasted for 4 or 5 days. Caller was wondering if there was an ingredient in the vaccine that she reacted to, what was in the vaccine that she might have gotten sick from. It was unknown if the patient experienced any additional symptoms/events. No treatment medication was reported. Events causality was not provided.
