Symptom narrative

Mom called PCP's clinic to report vaccine that was given to patient at pharmacy. Per Mom, vaccine was to be given in deltoid muscle, but was administered inferior to the deltoid muscle. Mom shared a picture of the site with the PCP, who was concerned that this may have been given subcutaneously. Per PCP's advice, Mom was told the vaccine, as administered, may be ineffective or suboptimally effective. She was given the option to repeat the vaccine but ultimately declined. At no time did the patient experience any acute effects from the administration of this vaccine.
