I again broke out with shingles just a week ago; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of shingles in a 53-year-old patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. The patient's past medical history included shingles (dealing with them since the patient was 19). On an unknown date, the patient received the 1st dose of Shingles vaccine. In DEC-2025, an unknown time after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced shingles (Verbatim: I again broke out with shingles just a week ago). The patient was treated with valaciclovir hydrochloride (Valtrex) and lysine. The outcome of the shingles was not resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the shingles to be related to Shingles vaccine. It was unknown if the company considered the shingles to be related to Shingles vaccine. The doctor had prescribed valtrex and the patient started taking lysine as soon as they noticed it. The patient mentioned this case was way milder than before their first shingles vaccine. Doctor said as soon as the patient clear up, can get their second shingles vaccine. The patient mentioned they did not care what they feel like after the vaccine. If it makes it milder, the patient was fine with it. They wish it would go away totally. Stress causes it to flare up for the patient. The patient had been dealing with them since the patient was of 19 years. The batch number was not provided, and we are unable to contact the reporter.
