cold associated with the symptoms of headache, head really hurt, throat hurt, dry cough nasal congestion and post-nasal drip; pain in my chest; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of NASOPHARYNGITIS (cold associated with the symptoms of headache, head really hurt, throat hurt, dry cough nasal congestion and post-nasal drip) and CHEST PAIN (pain in my chest) in a female patient of an unknown age who received mRNA-1273.251 (Spikevax LP.8.1 PFS) (batch no. 3052784) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. The suspect product included Pre-filled Syringe injection (batch no. 3052784) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. On 02-Dec-2025, the patient received dose of mRNA-1273.251 (Spikevax LP.8.1 PFS) (Intramuscular use) 1 dosage form. On an unknown date, the patient started Pre-filled Syringe (unknown route) at an unspecified dose. On 03-Dec-2025, after starting mRNA-1273.251 (Spikevax LP.8.1 PFS), the patient experienced CHEST PAIN (pain in my chest). On 06-Dec-2025, the patient experienced NASOPHARYNGITIS (cold associated with the symptoms of headache, head really hurt, throat hurt, dry cough nasal congestion and post-nasal drip). At the time of the report, NASOPHARYNGITIS (cold associated with the symptoms of headache, head really hurt, throat hurt, dry cough nasal congestion and post-nasal drip) had not resolved and CHEST PAIN (pain in my chest) outcome was unknown. Relevant Medical History (vaccines within the past 4 weeks, medical conditions) were reported as unknown. No concomitant medication was reported. The patient wanted to know about the potential side effects she might experience and was wondering if those were relevant. She received the vaccine on Tuesday of last week, 02-Dec-2025. On Wednesday, the patient thought of having kind of a pain in her chest and then did not get a headache, but as she started getting a headache, maybe a little bit, on like Saturday, barely anything, and then Sunday, her head really hurt. And then throat hurt, and then she started getting nasal congestion and post-nasal drip. Then on Monday, she also had a lot of nasal drips. The patient was tired and had a really dry cough. The patient was sick. It does not give a whole cold. The patient asked whether side effects lasted more than 5 days or 7 days. She asked if there was any information available online or if it could be explained to her exactly how it functions. She wanted to know whether it was an inactivated or activated vaccine, and if it produces antibodies or elicits a response from T cells or other immune cells. She also asked if it was a different variant for the new year. It was unknown if the patient experienced any additional symptoms/events. No treatment medication was reported.
