Suspected vaccination failure; and I still have the shingles; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a 77-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. The patient's past medical history included bilateral oophorectomy and shingles (started when the patient was 40 years old, right after the ovaries had been removed). On an unknown date, the patient received Shingrix. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant) and shingles (Verbatim: and I still have the shingles). The outcome of the vaccination failure was not reported and the outcome of the shingles was not resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure and shingles to be related to Shingrix. The company considered the vaccination failure to be unrelated to Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the shingles to be related to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 16-DEC-2025 The patient had received Shingrix five or six years before reporting and still had shingles. There was a small patch on the upper part of the left hip, in the same place every time. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding completion of primary schedule, time to onset for shingles and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.
