Left arm is still sore/in the past normally with Covid shots soreness lasted 4 or 5 days; This is a spontaneous report received from a Pharmacist. A 78-year-old male patient received BNT162b2 omicron (lp.8.1) (COMIRNATY (2025-2026 FORMULA)), on 21Oct2025 as dose 1, 0.3 ml single (Lot number: NA0589, Expiration Date: 23Jun2026) at the age of 78 years, in left deltoid for covid-19 immunisation; influenza vaccine inact sag 3v (FLUAD), on 21Oct2025 as dose number unknown, single, in right arm for immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. Vaccination history included: BNT162b2 (dose number unknown; in left arm into the muscle), administration date: 05Oct2023, when the patient was 76-year-old, for COVID-19 immunization, reaction(s): "Covid shots soreness"; BNT162b2 (dose number unknown; in left arm into the muscle), administration date: 07Oct2024, when the patient was 77-year-old, for COVID-19 immunization, reaction(s): "Covid shots soreness". The following information was reported: VACCINATION SITE PAIN (non-serious) with onset 22Oct2025, outcome "unknown", described as "Left arm is still sore/in the past normally with Covid shots soreness lasted 4 or 5 days". The event "left arm is still sore/in the past normally with covid shots soreness lasted 4 or 5 days" required physician office visit. Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of vaccination site pain. Additional information: The reporter gave the vaccine to a patient on 21Oct2025 in his left arm, left deltoid. Left arm is still sore. Patient came back and is reporting, handwritten note, reporting on the 13th day his left arm is still sore and in the past normally with Covid shots soreness lasted 4 or 5 days. Day 13 and is still bothering him. On the 9th day he used the power washer and was surprised he could not hold a bottle of water with left arm for hours. Patient is not left-handed. Never experienced that before. Note was written 02Nov2025, reporter did not receive note then, patient came by pharmacy. Patient went to doctor on 17Nov2025, family doctor, received prednisone dose pack 10mg for 6 days. Patient reported was better while taking it, once completed his arm went back to hurting. The reporter asked if there is any data on how many patients report that their arm is still sore almost 90 days out, like if it is 3 percent that get it and if there is anything else caller can advise patient to do.
