34 hours post injection, I first noticed that the injection site was very red, hot and hard. It was measuring 4.75? wide by 2.5? tall. 12 hours later, it was 6.5? wide by 3.5? tall. My daughter didn?t have a temperature but the injection site measured 100 degrees. There was also a lighter colored ring about halfway inside the red patch. 12 hours later (58 hours post injection) was when it reached its worst. 8.5? wide by 5? tall. Very hard, very red and hot (102 degrees at injection site). It was itchy and uncomfortable and made it hard to walk. This took up a huge portion of her upper left leg. I sent her doctor pictures but he didn?t think she needed to be seen. Said it happens in a small percentage of kids. Two weeks later, the site is no longer hard or hot but she does have sort of a reddish bruise that?s about 3.5? x 3.5?.
She had a cold which began around 11/19/2025. She still coughed from time to time (mostly at night) from the cold.
Patient started speech therapy this fall. No other conditions or needs.
