Needle issue

Symptom narrative

Attempting to administer Prevnar 20 vaccine to patient's L deltoid. Medication appeared to come out of the syringe around the needle instead of through the needle and ran down patient 's arm. Unsure if patient received any of the injection. Provider notified and advised to repeat this in a few months. Patient tolerated well and had no adverse effects from this.
