Patient called me Fri Dec 26 am. Stated she was fine the night of the flushot Dec. 18 am, but then woke up Friday, Dec. 19th with pain in the left elbow, neck, shoulder, and left shoulder blade. She says it is hard to move her arm. She said it has been going on since then and is not improved. She said she also has been having hot flashes and times of being very cold. She said when she walks 30 feet, she gets sweaty. Denies chest discomfort, shortness of breath, redness, warmth or swelling of left arm and states she does not feel feverish but does not have thermometer. States she cannot sleep more than one hour due to the pain. States the Home Health nurse came on Monday, Dec. 22 and said many of her patients have had issues after the high dose flushot. Pt. stated she left a message for Dr. at 935 am today. She called me back at 12pm after the RN talked to the HCP and told her to schedule a home ECG next week. Instructed the patient to in the future seek medical care sooner if symptoms do not improve soon. Instructed pt. to call 911 if symptoms worsen or seem urgent. Called pt. at 310pm today. She states she is taking Tramadol and Tylenol per HCP orders and she feels a bit better now.
