Symptom narrative

On 09/18/2025--two days after receiving the Shingrix vaccine injection shot--I first noted a barely imperceptible abnormal electrical sensation in the fingertips of both hands. This intermittent sensation progressed over the course of several months to intermittent pain in the entirety of both hands. Dr diagnosed as carpal tunnel syndrome by examination. Dr independently also diagnosed as carpal tunnel syndrome on Dec. 24, 2025, by means of electromyograpy and nerve conduction test. Treatment is wrist immobilizers (prescribed by both physicians). Dr also prescribed topical Diclofenac applied to the wrist.

Current illness

hyperlipidemia, abnormal low B12, reactive gastritis / possibly GERD, prediabetic A1c, BMI 31, vegan diet since two years prior

lower back pain, post status discectomy 1997, left foot numbness

famotidine 20 mg prn occasionally, Alka Seltzer prn occasionally, topical hydrocortisone prn occasionally, topical triamcinolone prn occasionally, tolnaftate topical daily
