Following routine vaccinations administered on 09/09/2025 at the 15-month well-child visit (MMR and pneumococcal conjugate vaccine), the patient developed significant symptoms beginning within days. Symptoms included recurrent high fever up to 104°F intermittently for approximately one week, marked lethargy, prolonged inconsolable crying lasting hours at a time, severe sleep disruption, and refusal of solid foods. A large persistent injection-site knot was noted on the leg. During the same post-vaccination period, the patient experienced noticeable developmental regression, including loss of previously acquired spoken words, loss of waving, and loss of blowing kisses. The patient also developed abnormal gastrointestinal symptoms, including pale white to yellow stools with visible string-like mucus, which occurred concurrently with the systemic and neurologic symptoms. The patient was evaluated in the pediatrician?s office on 09/19/2025, and developmental regression was again discussed during a home visit through the pediatrician?s services on 10/02/2025. Symptoms represented a marked change from baseline development prior to vaccination. Developmental concerns were ongoing at the time of reporting.
