t was suggested to my 86 year old mother, by her family physician, that she take the pneumonia vaccine, Prevnar 20, even though my mother has always refused any vaccines or shots in the past. So I do not know why she agreed to take this vaccine. By the next morning we found her on the floor at her home with eyes wide open but unresponsive, unable to move or talk. She was rushed by ambulance to the hospital where they ran several tests and did an MRI to determine if it was a stroke. We informed the hospital that she was given Prevnar 20 even though she has always refused vaccines or shots in the past. The MRI and other tests showed she did not have a stroke, although she had severe stroke-like symptoms. She was admitted to the hospital that day. As hours passed, she gained back some movement and speech, but she was talking out of her head, almost delirious. Then she began to have several seizures and was administered Keppra. She also developed a severe, welt-like rash all over her torso. The itching from the rash was horrendous. She tore at her gown and tossed about in the hospital bed, trying to get out. She had trouble seeing correctly of out the left eye. And her whole left side seemed to be taking longer to recover. And that was the side she was given the vaccine. She eventually gained more use of her arms and legs as the days went by. Doctors determined that her severe symptoms were a result of having been given the pneumonia vaccine, Prevnar 20. My mother remained in the hospital for 1 week and then was transported to a nursing home for rehab where she stayed 2 weeks. My mother was discharged 11/17/25 and returned home. She still has some ingering, welt-like rash on her torso and tingling down her left arm to her hand. And she occasionally has a dark shadow float across her left eye. I do not know what dates or specific tests my mother received during her time at hospital.

Aspirin. And obviously the Prevnar 20 vaccine since it caused severe stroke-like symptoms
