arm is so itchy/itching; This is a spontaneous report received from a Consumer or other non HCP. A female patient received BNT162b2 omicron (lp.8.1) (COMIRNATY (2025-2026 FORMULA)), as dose 1, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. Vaccination history included: Moderna covid vaccine (DOSE NUMBER UNKONWN, SINGLE), for COVID-19 immunization, reaction(s): "arm, armpit, and breast all turned the color of beets". The following information was reported: PRURITUS (non-serious), outcome "not recovered", described as "arm is so itchy/itching". Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of pruritus. Additional information: Her arm is so itchy she is going out of her mind. The Pfizer covid vaccine causes itching, no irritation or redness, just pure itching. She wants to know if that is normal and will it go away. She cannot take Benadryl and can only use topicals and they are not working. There is no redness, rash, or irritation. She is scratching it all of the time. She stated that it is obviously the ingredients they put in this. She asked what is in the vaccine that could cause this. She wants to know whether she should do the covid vaccine ever again or not and asked if itching is normal. She also mentioned she had a very bad reaction to the Moderna vaccine that went on for 3-4 weeks. She sent pictures from that and said that her arm, armpit, and breast all turned the color of beets. The information on the batch/lot number for BNT162b2 omicron (lp.8.1) will be requested and submitted if and when received.
