A 70-year-old female patient received pneumococcal 20-val conj vac (dipht CRM197 protein) (PREVNAR 20), on 15Dec2025 as dose number unknown, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) at the age of 70 years for immunisation. The patient had no relevant medical history. There were no concomitant medications. The following information was reported: VACCINATION SITE INDURATION (non-serious) with onset Dec2025, outcome "not recovered", described as "My arm is still feeling very firm, like it is just a real firm feeling it / it is a very solid heel in the area of the injection"; VACCINATION SITE MACULE (non-serious), VACCINATION SITE ERYTHEMA (non-serious), VACCINATION SITE PRURITUS (non-serious) all with onset Dec2025, outcome "not recovered" and all described as "The injection area is about two inches by two inches, very red, blotchy and itchy". Additional information: Reporter stated, she was calling to report an adverse reaction to a Pfizer product. It was a new pneumonia vaccine she believes. She could not find her notes, PV 20, was that it. Clarified the vaccine name as Prevnar 20. Reporter stated, asking was that the new pneumonia shot. It was a new pneumonia shot, PV20 or PV23 something. She was asking because she do not remember and she do not see it on her notes here. Reporter stated, she need to know if that was the name of it first. Asking was that what it was called. It was PV. For five days she have had, it was a very solid heel in the area of the injection. The injection area was about two inches by two inches, very red, blotchy and itchy. In response to further probing, reporter stated, asking what the question was, the only symptom was what she just described. Reporter stated, it was not black, its red and blotchy. It was kind of solid. Her arm was still feeling very firm, like it was just a real firm feeling it. It does not feel normal yet. No. Reporter stated, no reassurance, that was fine. When probed to clarify if consumer had the Pfizer vaccine, reporter stated, Yes, she had it on Monday of this week, PV 20 she think it was called and she want to know more about that vaccine. She would like to know about that vaccine. She want information about it. Reporter stated, asking how would she get that from doctors office. Reporter said vaccination card was not handy, they do not give a card. She do not think when you go to a doctors office to get any type of vaccine, they do not give you a card and they do not give you a LOT#. Reporter stated, she has no idea about dose. In regards to indication reporter stated, she only got it because she was susceptible to respiratory illnesses. Reporter stated in regards to other medical history and concomitant medication was no, none. Reporter stated, she was calling to report an adverse reaction to a Pfizer product. It is a new pneumonia vaccine I believe. I could not find my notes, PV 20, was that it. Was unspecified pneumonia vaccine a company product and manufacturer was unspecified. Reporter does not have the product with them at the time of call. The information on the batch/lot number for pneumococcal 20-val conj vac (dipht CRM197 protein) will be requested and submitted if and when received.
