our son was speaking full and clear words before 12m of age. three specifically (deer, more, dadda) after his 12m vaccines, we went back to complete babble, almost instantly. the dr continued to say it was normal bc he was an earlier walker. we continued with vaccine schedule, and we asked about speech therapy, they said there was no reason for it. fast forward to 3.5 years old and speech therapy with two days of "school" and our boy is finally talking. speech therapist was "upset" they our son was not referred sooner agreeing that he had a huge delay in speech. the therapist even uttered the words "I want to have a talk with the dr bc should have definitely been referred to us sooner" still delayed in " articulation" speech but graduated from speech therapy. may need to return at 6 if hes not caught up fully for his age.
