Symptom narrative

I received the Shingrix vaccine on Saturday, 12/26/2025, administered in my right arm. Within 24 hours, I developed significant injection-site pain and tenderness that limited arm movement for several days. By day 2?3 post-vaccination, I experienced a persistent sore throat without fever. I did not have cough, nasal congestion, or other upper respiratory symptoms. Several days after vaccination, I developed localized skin sensitivity/allodynia on the left side of my jaw, which later resolved, followed by a similar sensitive/tender spot on the left side of my scalp. These areas were painful to touch but had no visible rash, redness, or blisters. I have a prior history of HSV-1 (cold sores), including throat involvement, and am concerned that immune activation from the vaccine may have triggered nerve irritation or viral reactivation. No visible oral or skin lesions were noted. As of approximately one week post-vaccination, symptoms were improving slightly but not fully resolved.
