Shingrix adjuvant eyes and face exposure; Shingrix adjuvant eyes and face exposure; Shingrix adjuvant eyes and face exposure; This non-serious case was reported by a pharmacist via call center representative and described the occurrence of occupational exposure via skin contact with product in a 34-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) (batch number DX9X5, expiry date 06-JUN-2027) for prophylaxis. On 02-JAN-2026, the patient received Shingrix. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced occupational exposure via skin contact with product (Verbatim: Shingrix adjuvant eyes and face exposure), exposure via eye contact (Verbatim: Shingrix adjuvant eyes and face exposure) and inadvertent exposure to vaccine (Verbatim: Shingrix adjuvant eyes and face exposure). The outcome of the occupational exposure via skin contact with product, exposure via eye contact and inadvertent exposure to vaccine were not applicable. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 02-JAN-2026 While reconstituting the needle came off of the syringe and it sprayed back directly into the Pharmacist's eyes and face. The needle contained only the adjuvant portion of the Shingrix vaccine, the needle was connected to the antigen portion of the vaccine when the liquid adjuvant sprayed and exposure occur. The pharmacist reported to be pregnant.
