COVID-19 infection/loss of taste and smell following a COVID-19 infection; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of COVID-19 (COVID-19 infection/loss of taste and smell following a COVID-19 infection) in a male patient of an unknown age who received SPIKEVAX NOS (SPIKEVAX NOS) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. No Medical History information was reported. On an unknown date, the patient received dose of SPIKEVAX NOS (SPIKEVAX NOS) (unknown route) 1 dosage form. In January 2025, the patient experienced COVID-19 (COVID-19 infection/loss of taste and smell following a COVID-19 infection). At the time of the report, COVID-19 (COVID-19 infection/loss of taste and smell following a COVID-19 infection) outcome was unknown. The action taken with SPIKEVAX NOS (SPIKEVAX NOS) (Unknown) was unknown. No concomitant medications were provided. It was reported that the patient had lost the taste and smell following a COVID-19 infection, patient experienced last January. Despite regularly receiving Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine and not being severely ill during the infection, the patient had unfortunately lost these senses. It was inquired about whether any research conducted on this issue and was hopeful for information on potential treatments or assistance available to address these symptoms. It was unknown if the patient experienced any additional symptoms/events. No treatment medication was provided.
