Injection site started persistent itching with some extra swelling; Injection site started persistent itching with some extra swelling; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer and described the occurrence of injection site itching in a 68-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. The patient's past medical history included shingles (had shingles in the past 3 times between 1977 and 1988). On 29-DEC-2025, the patient received the 1st dose of Shingles vaccine. On 02-JAN-2026, 4 days after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced injection site itching (Verbatim: Injection site started persistent itching with some extra swelling) and injection site swelling (Verbatim: Injection site started persistent itching with some extra swelling). The outcome of the injection site itching and injection site swelling were not resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the injection site itching and injection site swelling to be related to Shingles vaccine.
