shingles after the first dose of Shingrix; This non-serious case was reported by a pharmacist via call center representative and described the occurrence of shingles in a 50-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. Concomitant products included valaciclovir hydrochloride (Valtrex). In SEP-2025, the patient received the 1st dose of Shingrix. On an unknown date, less than 3 months after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced shingles (Verbatim: shingles after the first dose of Shingrix). The outcome of the shingles was resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the shingles to be related to Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the shingles to be related to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 02-JAN-2026 The patient had shingles after the first dose of Shingrix, but she said she was over it. The pharmacist stated they did not know whether the patient had actually had shingles or how long after the first dose symptoms occurred. The pharmacist reported the patient received the first dose around September. Pharmacist also mentioned some rashes involved. The patient received second dose of Shingrix on 23-DEC-2025. she had been taking Valtrex and clarified that the Valtrex was being used as preventive therapy rather than for active shingles. The batch number was not provided upon follow- up with the reporter.
