Having vestibular issues like brain fog; Having vestibular issues like vertigo; vestibular neuritis; This is a spontaneous report received from a Consumer or other non HCP from medical information team. A 53-year-old female patient received BNT162b2 omicron (lp.8.1) (COMIRNATY (2025-2026 FORMULA)), on 07Nov2025 as dose 1, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) at the age of 53 years, in left arm for covid-19 immunisation; pneumococcal vaccine (PNEUMOCOCCAL VACCINE), on 07Nov2025 as dose number unknown, single for immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history included: "costochondritis", start date: 05Nov2025 (unspecified if ongoing); "psoriasis" (unspecified if ongoing); "b12 deficiency", start date: 1997 (unspecified if ongoing); "vertigo", start date: 1997 (unspecified if ongoing); "dizzy", start date: 1997 (unspecified if ongoing). Concomitant medication(s) included: ESTROGEN; PROGESTERONE oral. The patient also took other concomitant therapy. Past drug history included: Paxlovid for Covid-19, reaction(s): "rebound covid". Vaccination history included: BNT162b2 (DOSE 1, SINGLE), administration date: 16Apr2021, when the patient was 48-year-old, for Covid-19 immunization, reaction(s): "deep pain everywhere", "weird period bleeding"; BNT162b2 (DOSE 2, SINGLE), administration date: 07May2021, when the patient was 48-year-old, for Covid-19 immunization, reaction(s): "body pain, pain", "headaches"; BNT162b2 (DOSE 3 (BOOSTER), SINGLE), administration date: 26Nov2021, when the patient was 49-year-old, for Covid-19 immunization, reaction(s): "body pain, pain", "Headache", "Covid". The following information was reported: VESTIBULAR NEURONITIS (medically significant) with onset 2025, outcome "unknown", described as "vestibular neuritis"; BRAIN FOG (non-serious) with onset 09Nov2025, outcome "unknown", described as "Having vestibular issues like brain fog"; VERTIGO (non-serious) with onset 09Nov2025, outcome "unknown", described as "Having vestibular issues like vertigo". The events "having vestibular issues like brain fog" and "having vestibular issues like vertigo" required emergency room visit. The patient underwent the following laboratory tests and procedures: Electrocardiogram: (unspecified date) excellent; Vitamin B12: (07Nov2025) good. Clinical course: She is calling about covid vaccine. She had the shot on 07Nov2025 and two days later starting having vestibular issues like brain fog and vertigo. She has only had the Pfizer covid vaccine. She has had the Pfizer covid vaccine four times. The first three Pfizer covid vaccines were was when it first came out. Height reported as somewhere between 5 feet 2.5 inches and 5 feet 3 inches. Fourth dose of Pfizer covid vaccine was received on 07Nov2025. Does not have exact name to provide of the covid vaccine. She did also have a pneumonia vaccine on the same day 07Nov2025. Does not know name of pneumonia vaccine. Vertigo started two days after the shot, vertigo started on 09Nov2025. Outcome reported as it gets better and worse, different days are different in regards to outcome of vertigo, when it rained last week it was awful, she felt like her head was in a cyclone. When querying when brain fog started, stated part of having vertigo is feeling all spacey, clarifies brain fog started on 09Nov2025, but she notices that on some days her brain and her memory and she just feels like she is not as sharp. Treatment/Testing reported as she has been to urgent care and had an EKG done and the EKG was excellent. She also went to a neurologist and the neurologist is sending her today to a cardiologist to have an echocardiogram done and she will have a brain MRI done in two weeks. Other medications included has been on hormone replacement therapy for about a year and three or four months. She takes estrogen patches and progesterone orally. No further details. When querying other medical conditions, states she is going to a rheumatologist in a couple of week since she has psoriasis and costochondritis. Clarifies the psoriasis started about a year ago. Clarifies the costochondritis started two days before she got the fourth dose of the covid vaccine, costochondritis started on 05Nov2025. Pfizer Biontech covid 19 vaccine First dose received on 16Apr2021, second dose received on 07May2021, Third dose received on 26Nov2021. When she had the first dose of the covid vaccine, her side effect lasted 7 days, side effect clarified as deep pain everywhere and also had weird period bleeding. She called Pfizer at the time and reported this previously. She does not have reference number handy. She has only had covid once and this was in July 2025. She had covid for two weeks. She took Paxlovid and it suppressed symptoms but then she had a rebound covid case after. Discarded Paxlovid and cannot provide lot, ndc, or expiration date for Paxlovid. The only other time she has had this kind of dizzy vertigo is when she had a b12 deficiency years ago back in 1997 and also when she had covid in July 2025. She had her b12 tested on 07Nov2025 since she gets it tested every year and her b12 levels were good and states this was not a b12 issue. Her neurologist thinks its vestibular neuritis and she read that there are people that get the covid shot that get vestibular neuritis. She is asking if it can be explained what the mechanism is that causes the vestibular neuritis? Asking what it is about the vaccine that could be causing the vestibular neuritis so she can heal. Caller stated that her neurologist is sending her to a cardiologist today to get an echocardiogram and she is to get a MRI in two weeks. Caller stated that she has read on Pfizer's website that people who have had the vaccine has gotten vestibular neuritis. Caller is unsure if she has vestibular neuritis yet. Caller stated she has only had vestibular issues twice. Caller stated the first time was when she had a B12 deficiency in which they checked her B12 levels and her B12 is perfect. Caller stated she is not exhausted and when she had a B12 deficiency she would get exhausted easily. Caller stated right now she can swim for an hour and is able to get out and has energy as she isn't exhausted easily. Caller stated the only other time she has this issue was when she had covid in July for the first time. Caller stated the doctor's office was blaming her symptoms on her blood pressure being low, however her blood pressure is always 90/60 and she had never had these symptoms prior and her doctor's office wasn't sure why she was experiencing these symptoms. Caller stated she received the Pfizer covid shot along with a pneumonia shot. Caller stated 2 days after receiving the Pfizer Covid vaccine, she started experiencing these symptoms. Caller stated she had received 3 Pfizer vaccines before in 2021 in which she had pain, body aches, headaches, and other than the first time, she never had any other symptoms and did not experience vertigo. Caller stated it's possible this in conjunction with the pneumonia shot or the pneumonia shot could be causing this reaction. Caller stated the vaccination is the only thing that had happened to her during that time frame that could have caused this. Caller stated she has had this for two months and it hasn't gone away. Caller states when it rains it becomes worse. Caller stated "sometimes she is really sharp and other times, she can't remember things in which she has always had a great memory." Caller stated the things she forgets will come back to her later, so it's not dementia. Caller stated that she suspects it is vestibular neuritis, and if it is, she would like to understand the mechanism behind covid that causes it and is there something that she can do to heal it? Caller stated she just wants to feel well. Caller is asking, What could this be, how do I fix it, and how do I make sure I don't get this again?. Caller stated that she doesn't want to get covid again because it was awful, but she is also worried to receive the vaccine again as she does not want to experience the side effects she is currently experiencing. Caller stated that she is terrified of getting the vaccine or covid again. Caller stated that follow up studies should be performed on people who have had side effects and whether they have received additional vaccines again. Caller stated she would like to be able to take the Pfizer vaccine again and it protect her, but she is terrified that she will experience vestibular issues again. Caller stated she is also terrified to have covid again. Caller stated Pfizer needs to do more follow up studies on these particular participants to understand this better for people like her. She wants to be protected, but she doesn't want this awful side effects. Caller stated Pfizer is leaving parts of the population hanging.
