Patient was given Fluarix and Twinrix in the left deltoid by the pharmacist. Pharmacist gave vaccines correctly and spaced apart in the deltoid muscle intramuscularly. Pharmacist explained possible side effects to patient. Patient admitted that she gets nervous when getting shots. Pharmacist reassured her and ensured she was relaxed before administering. Pharmacist told the patient and the patient's mother that it is suggested that the patient wait around at the pharmacy to ensure there were no immediate side effects. The patient decided to go shop. The patient fainted in aisle 19. The mother called the pharmacist over. The patient was slouched on the ground and still conscious. The patient stated she did not hit her head. The pharmacist and the patient's mother walked the patient with assistance back to the waiting area. The pharmacist had the patient sit in the chair and elevate their feet. The patient stated she was feeling dizzy and hot. The patient started to look as if she was fainting again. That lasted for 15 seconds. The patient was able to respond to the pharmacist. The patient stated no itching and can breathe. The patient said they had no allergies. The patient said they will feel more comfortable taking benadryl. The patient was given 10 ml of childrens's benadryl liquid. The patient stated she did not eat this morning and was on her menstrual cycle. The pharmacist gave the patient a cold towel. The pharmacist grabbed some juice for the patient. The patient drink 8 ounces of orange juice and sat there for 20 minutes. The pharmacist and the mother monitored closely. The patient was fine after all steps taken by the pharmacist. The pharmacist went over the possible side effects again and explained the side effect the patient just experienced. The patient and the patient's mother understood everything before leaving.
