Symptom narrative

Patient was to receive Flublok injection. Needle entered left arm and inactivated influenza solution sprayed in a backward angle from the connection point of the syringe and the LuerLock needle used. Patient was not exposed to any of the solution. Healthcare provider (me) was exposed; solution sprayed all over left sleeve. Patient then received appropriate dose of Flublok in right arm.
