possible sign of an active shingles case/suspected shingles; spot on the back of the head (right side) that itches; eczema; This non-serious case was reported by a pharmacist via call center representative and described the occurrence of shingles in a 50-year-old male patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) (batch number NM35M) for prophylaxis. On 06-JAN-2026, the patient received the 1st dose of Shingrix. On 06-JAN-2026, less than a day after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced shingles (Verbatim: possible sign of an active shingles case/suspected shingles), pruritus (Verbatim: spot on the back of the head (right side) that itches) and eczema (Verbatim: eczema). The outcome of the shingles was unknown and the outcome of the pruritus and eczema were not reported. It was unknown if the reporter considered the shingles, pruritus and eczema to be related to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 06-JAN-2026 A pharmacist called and informed that a patient had received the first Shingrix dose. The patient had reported that they did not have shingles; however, after the vaccination the patient developed a spot on the back of the head (right side) that itched. The patient also reported having eczema. The patient had looked perfectly normal, with no pain or fever. However, because the spot was a possible sign of an active shingles case, the pharmacist requested any side effects information when Shingrix was received during an active shingles episode.
